The Tanglewood Beach House is available for weekly vacations, short stays during shoulder seasons (a four night minimum), or monthly, long-term rental. Rates are based on a maximum occupancy of six people. Weekly rentals are booked on a Friday-to-Friday week.

Rates

ALL RATES ARE IN CANADIAN DOLLARS and are subject to change without notice. (click for current exchange rate)

• Long term stays are defined by a minimum of four weeks.
• The Harmonized Sales Tax of 12% will be added to all short-term reservations made after July 1, 2010.
• All rates quoted are in Canadian Dollars and subject to change without notice.
• All utilities are included: electricity, natural gas, water, television cable and high speed internet.
• Local telephone service is included. Long distance telephone calls made to numbers anywhere in Canada and the continental United States are free of charge. Calls made to all other areas will be the responsibility of the guest.

Method of Payment

Visa or Mastercard are accepted as payment.

Reservation Deposits

When you are ready to make a reservation, a deposit is required to secure your time. A deposit of 50% of the total rental rate is processed at the time of booking with the balance processed on the day of arrival.

Should damages or losses occur during your occupancy, beyond normal wear, the value of the repair or replacement shall be the responsibility of the guest.

Cancellation Policy

For weekly or monthly rentals, written notice must be received no less than 30 days prior to the reservation for a refund on the deposit. No refunds on deposits can be made with less than 30 days notice of cancellation.

Monthly renters who make a change to their reservations that result in a shortened stay must provide one month’s notice of the change. Cancellations with less than one month notice will result in the loss of the damage deposit. No refunds will be issued for unused days or early departures.

A $100.00 administration fee is always deducted from a deposit upon cancellation.

Weather

The area around Parksville enjoys some of the mildest weather on Vancouver island. The average temperature during the summer months is 21 degrees Celsius, ranging between 15 and 30 degrees and the water is calm and warm. Unfortunately, the weather is uncontrollable and unpredictable. Therefore, it should be noted that unsatisfactory weather would not result in a reduced rate or refund.

Check Ins and Outs

Check-In is 4:00 p.m. and Check-Out is 10:00 a.m. We ask you to respect these specific hours. The housekeeper is scheduled and needs this time to ensure the Beach House is prepared for the arrival of guests. Folks requiring an extension on Check-Out must provide notification prior to Check-In. Approved extensions will be given at a rate of $20.00/hour. After 2:00 p.m., a full day’s rate will apply.

Confirmation

Upon confirmation of your reservation, an email will be sent to you to confirm rental dates, deposits, rental terms and conditions. As well, you’ll receive your copy of the Guide to Life at The Tanglewood Beach House to assist you with your travel planning. It’s a pretty good read with a lot of detailed information to make your vacation as memorable as possible.
