The Tanglewood Beach House is centrally located on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Only minutes driving distance from the town of Parksville, the Beach House is nestled in the intimate neighbourhood of Tanglewood on Rathtrevor Beach.

The 1145 square foot beach house is situated all on one level for stair-free living and consists of two bedrooms with two bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and living room. The open plan lends a relaxed vacation feel with hardwood floors extending throughout the living areas to create a low allergen environment. For your enjoyment there is a private outdoor patio with gas barbecue and for your convenience, a washer and dryer.

Comfort and solitude are yours! Each spacious bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, dressed with fine linens, extra pillows and down duvets. The attached bathrooms boast plump towels and heated ceramic tile floors. Light some candles and linger in the soaking tub.

This lavishly appointed vacation home boasts a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with full size refrigerator, gas cook top, electric oven, garburetor and dishwasher. Outfitted with all the pans, pots and kitchen tools you might need to cook a feast or to enjoy a quiet night in. The granite counter tops and bar seating make entertaining and meal preparation a breeze.

The open plan moves into the living room which features vaulted ceilings and beautiful views of the Fir, Cedar and Arbutus forest just outside the doors. Stretch out on the sofa and enjoy the 42” television with cable network and DVD player. The sofa will also open into a comfortable double bed to create an additional sleeping arrangements. Curl up with a book on the bench next to the natural gas fireplace for those lazy mornings.

Throw in a CD and enjoy a meal at the dining room table. It comfortably seats six to eight people for family dinners with a booster seat provided as well as children’s dinnerware. Double French doors on the dining room open to a large private patio that look out onto the majestic old growth forest of Rathtrevor Provincial Park. Enjoy an afternoon barbecue or watch the wildlife that wander through the 347 hectares of protected woodland.

Enjoy private access to a magnificent two-kilometer stretch of wide, sandy beach. A short stroll on a paved walkway will take you to the ocean, which at low tide recedes almost a kilometer, providing an ideal place for visitors of all ages to play in the sand and explore the shoreline. Build sand castles, hunt for seashells, roast marshmallows over an open fire and when the tide rolls in over the sun-baked sand, the warmed water is unbeatable for swimming and saltwater fun.
